seeds are sold at the above prices in plain packets without sowing instructions on the    
packets, but sowing instructions are found in my vegetable list for most of the varieties 
of vegetable seeds sold by weight in the main vegetable list.                             

SECTION 2;                                                                                
CALCULATING PRICE PER WEIGHT; When the weight of vegetable seed required is not shown in  
the Vegetable Ready Reckoner the seed cost is found by multiplying the PRICE PER GRAM     
of the LETTER GROUP by the weight of the seed required.   This total(if the weight is     
over 1 gram) is multiplied by the % of discount allowed for in the DISCOUNT RANGE that    
the weight of seed is in this total is subtracted from the first total to give the cost.  
EXAMPLE:10g.Pumpkin Mammouth C=34P/g*10g=£3.40:£3.40*20% discount=68P;(£3.40-68P=£2.72)

             The mature plant size is 22-24" wide weighing 2 to 2.5 lbs.
Early Flat Dutch;(ac) 7 inch deep,solid 6-10 lbs flat heads. Good to set close in rows because it has few outside leaves. 
                      Heat resistant with medium stem. Good for making kraut.
Early Jersey Wakefield; (ac) 2-3 lb. Heads, 7 inches in diameter. Short stemmed with fine tender flavour.

Winner;(aq) Dark green,round,solid head,averages 1 kg. Medium size frame-extra hard heads stand in field for 3-4 weeks
            without splitting. No Yellows tolerance.
WC-00-3 F1; (az) Heads weigh 3-6 lb.  White cabbage with very high yields & excellent uniformity. Solid heads throughout 
                 that grow highly uniform & are attractive. For both spring and winter crops. 
WC-04-15 F1; (az) Heads weigh 4 lb.  A blue-green type with excellent performance in autumn/winter crop,round head.
Zennith;(aq)  A slightly larger,later version of Winner with Black Rot tolerance & the same amazing tolerance to bursting
              or cracking in the field. Medium dark green heads are round and solid at several stages of maturity.
